And on Wednesday 20th, the daytime event (from 9am EST) will use creativity and storytelling to celebrate the biggest achievements in development, highlighting champions and announcing a set of ‘accelerators’.
Melinda Gates will curate a one-hour session on women and girls, spot-lighting the critical role of women’s movements in driving change.
Stephen Fry and Dr Astro Teller will host a session on Purpose Driven Technology focusing on key tech and innovation developments that are lifting people out of extreme poverty around the world.
And finally, Bill Gates will present a one-hour session examining the challenge of convincing people that things are getting better, focusing on innovations and the global health heroes that give him cause for optimism.
